Education
Degree in Law with Specialization in EU law from Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid. Diploma in Legal and Economic Studies of the European Union from the Collège des Hautes Études Européennes, University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.LLM in European and International Law from the Catholic University of Lueven (Belgium). Postgraduate Diploma in EC Competition Law from the King’s College London.
Experience
Prior to founding GAVELS Abogados with Rosario Vitola in 2010, Diego worked as legal counsel for a multinational company (Actaris Metering Systems, now Itron) at its corporate headquarters in Brussels and at the legal department of Indra Sistemas, an Ibex35 listed company, in Madrid.
He has also worked as associate at the law firm Alzaga, García Palencia, Sánchez-Terán & Asociados (Iberforo-Madrid) and at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo. Diego is also an external legal expert for DG GROW, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.

Rosario has also completed various postgraduate courses.
